Luke 15:7, 10, 22-24, 32

I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. …In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. …But the father said to his slaves, “Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; …But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.”

God’s concern over people’s “lostness” is equalled by His joy when they are “found”!

One of highlights of being in heaven after we die will be experiencing the joy of heaven as people who are still alive on earth come to know Jesus and find God.

Here, Jesus reveals the “joy in heaven” and the “joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents”. God wants you to join hands with Him in this life as He reaches into the hearts and lives of people you know and introduces Himself to them through you. Join Him in this, and you’ll experience the joy of heaven here on earth as you see people encounter God.
