Time with God - October 15

Discover the profound promise that God eagerly awaits your requests and is ready to bless you abundantly, mirroring a loving father's desire to give good gifts to his children. Explore how actively seeking and asking can reveal the tangible ways God answers prayer in your life.

Matthew 7:7-11

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”

God wants to answer our prayers!

Any good father loves to give special gifts to his children, and God is a good Father. When he thinks about you his heart is full of warmth and the desire to bless you. He is waiting for you to start seeking for him and asking of him.

If you have never done it, I encourage you to keep a prayer journal for a while and track your requests and God’s answers. I think you will be blown away (as I was) at how much God has done in your life in direct response to your prayers.

Do you hear God’s warm invitation to you today? Ask, seek, knock. He is ready to respond from his good Father’s heart.
