Genesis 6:12-14

“And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, ‘I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch.’”

When God chooses to speak to us about a specific task, we must be ready to respond!

God wants to protect his children. He is always at work on our behalf. There are things that he wants us to be a part of, so he gives us specific direction. Some tasks require more effort than others. However, you can rest assured that he knows what he is doing in all that he asks of his children. It had never rained, and yet God was calling Noah to build an ark.

The one thing that we must not forget is that following Christ is always a step of faith, no matter how great or small the task. What is it that God is asking you to do for him? This is something near and dear to his heart.  Go ahead and do it today. Do it willingly, joyfully, expectantly. Show your faith to the world.
