Luke 11:1-13 Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples..."
Prayer was important, even to Jesus. The disciples knew this, so they asked Him to "teach us to pray." And Jesus responded with the Lord's prayer, which for both the disciples and us, is the perfect pattern for talking to our Heavenly Father.
So, there are a variety of things we can pick up from this prayer, but what stands out to me, and what I put into practice, is to recognize God first--in praise and thanksgiving--and then come to Him with my needs.
Now it's your turn--what stands out to you as something you can put into practice in your prayer life? I'd love to hear what you have to say! Tami
