2 Corinthians 4 Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart...
Paul begins and ends 2 Corinthians 4 with the declaration "we do not lose heart," and in between these bookend statements he delivers a message of hope for our daily living for Christ. Yes, we will experience hardship when we follow Christ, but God is in control and He has us covered.
- Afflicted--but not crushed
- Perplexed--but not driven to despair
- Persecuted--but not forsaken
- Struck down--but not destroyed
To repeat Paul, "So, we do not lose heart" (verse 16).
What encouragement did you draw from 2 Corinthians 4 today? What helps you "not lose heart" as you live daily for Christ? Tami
