Love Motivated

2 Corinthians 2:1-4, Ephesians 4:15  For I made up my mind not to make another painful visit to you.For if I cause you pain, who is there to make me glad but the one whom I have pained...

As I read 2 Corinthians 2:1-11, Paul's instruction for us to "speak the truth in love" from Ephesians 4:15 came to mind. Paul is doing just that to the believers at Corinth, letting them know that while his prior communication to them was difficult for him, it was necessary because of his great love for them. "For I wrote to you out of much affliction and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to cause you pain but to let you know the abundant love that I have for you" (verse 4).

Based on these passages, how valuable is honest communication? How important are the words you choose and the manner in which you deliver them? Tami
