Jesus' identity is the question of the day in John 8:12-30. As we start our passage, Jesus is talking to the Pharisees and they don't understand who Jesus is. Jesus point blank tells them he is the light of the world (vs. 12) and that he was sent by the Father (vs. 16). Still, the Pharisees are clueless and they finally just come out and ask Jesus "Who are you?" Jesus responds yet again letting them know he was sent by God the Father.
