Micah 2 Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil on their beds! When the morning dawns, they perform it, because it is in the power of their hand...
God continues to lay out His charges against the people in Micah 2. In the first several verses of the chapter, God calls out those people who are using their power and wealth to oppress and take advantage of others. Then as we reach the middle of the chapter we see something that is prevalent today--that the people don't want to hear God's truth--they want to do what they want, and God is not pleased. The entire chapter is not doom and gloom, however. In the final two verses God provides a message of hope that He is not abandoning His people.
What did you learn from Micah 2? What are some of the specific actions, attitudes and thinking God is pointing out as sinful? How do we guard against these things in our own lives? Tami
