Learning and Walking

Today's reading: 1 John 2:1-6

Once we receive Christ as our Savior, it should be our heart's desire to keep and follow the commandments God has given us in His Word. In other words, a natural response to being in relationship with God is a noticeable change in our behavior.

"[B]ut whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked." (vs. 5-6).

Would you say that it's your desire to keep and follow the instructions found in God's Word? What does this passage reveal about the importance of regularly reading, considering and then putting into practice what you've learned from the Bible? How have your thoughts and actions changed as you've learned and absorbed more and more of God's Word? Tami
