Col 1:9: "For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding" (NASB).
I once heard a mother say, "When they're young, always talk to your children about God. When they grow up, always talk to God about your children." The verse above reminds us to never cease praying for them.
At times we are tempted to try to force knowledge into their growing minds, and sometimes they are resistant. Pray for God to instill your kids with something far more effective than our lectures - knowledge of His will, spiritual wisdom and understanding.
The Holy Spirit has a teaching ministry that far outweighs our own efforts. Pray for your children to receive this gift!
