Mark McGwire's Secret
By Rick Boxx
January 22, 2010

After years of dodging questions, Mark McGwire, the home run king, finally admitted that he used steroids for years. His admission came upon acceptance of a position as hitting coach of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Many baseball enthusiasts are angry about being deceived, and that there seems to be no consequences for McGwire's past behavior. Mr. McGwire, however, has been carrying around a burden for years, that will have consequences eventually.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 teaches, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds."

Secrets are known by God, and every one of them will have consequences.
