Go Ahead, Fall Off

During Matt’s first attempt at paddle boarding, he struggled to keep his balance, fearful of falling. Then it happened; he fell head first off the board and into the lake!

As Matt climbed back onto the board, he realized the anticipation of the fall was more agonizing than the fall itself. Just like in Matt’s paddle boarding experience, in our professional life, fear of failure can immobilize us.

The key to avoiding the distractions of fear can be found in Hebrew 12:2. “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame.”

This week, make failure work for you by keeping Christ first and avoiding the fear of failure.
