The Caller

In my 30’s, my desire was to be the President of my own bank. So, when the bank I worked for was for sale I assumed that God surely wanted that for me as well. Over a period of months, however, God began to reveal His desire, which was me teaching and equipping leaders to do business God’s way.

In Jeremiah 1:5, God said to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

We live in a “me-centered” culture, where we often believe that our calling revolves completely around us and our desires. But God is the “caller” and we ought to be more concerned with His plan than ours.
