Standing Firm in Sweden

According to the Wall Street Journal, Sweden has a shortage of midwives which sometimes results in mothers dying. Despite this, Ellinor Grimmark was blacklisted due to her unwillingness to participate in abortions.

Multiple hospitals refused to hire her due to her pro-life beliefs and, a trial court ruled against her.

Ellinor could have buckled and participated in abortions, or changed professions, but she held firm. She began commuting four hours each way to Norway where she could work without retribution for her beliefs.

Ephesians 6:11 teaches, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”

As Christians, there will be times our beliefs are attacked. When that happens put on your armor and stand firm.
