Excellence through Delegation
By: Rick Boxx

In his pursuit of excellence, Gary is dangerously close to “burning-out” on the business he has loved. Gary seems to feel he is the only one who can produce the level of quality his customers deserve.

When an employee disappoints him, or a customer complains, Gary seizes whatever authority he has given to others and determines to do it himself. In the process, he’s exhausted, he has little time for his family, and he’s beginning to hate his business.

In Luke 9:1 we read, “When Jesus had called the Twelve together, He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases.”

Jesus grew His ministry by delegating to others. Sometimes excellence means giving the job to others, and trusting them for a good result.
