Excellence Fueled by Prayer

The exciting part of public speaking for me is when God directs the content of my talk. There have been many occasions when I’ve been stumped to know the right story to illustrate a point in a speech.

That’s when I begin praying for God’s divine intervention!

Sometimes God will use His Spirit to prompt me right in the middle of a talk with just the right story. It’s so exciting when someone later shares how that story spoke directly to them!

John 14:26 teaches, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

When you need excellence in your work, don’t forget to call on the power of God. He’s faithful!
