In the Shadow

The performing arts center my daughter, Bekah, dances for asked me to teach a personal finance class for the young adults. I agreed, provided that Bekah could join us.
When I asked each person their thoughts about money, I was surprised by Bekah’s response. She shared that she felt intimidated by being in my shadow. She thought that since I taught in this area frequently that she would never measure up.
1 John 3:2 teaches, “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him.”
If you fear not measuring up to your earthly family, be encouraged. If you’re a child of God, someday you’ll surpass anyone on earth.
