The Barbeque Roll
By: Rick Boxx

In 1968, NASA had a problem. They knew that the temperature extremes in space would either burn up Apollo or freeze the spacecraft so that it wouldn’t function properly.

Harold Finch, a space scientist at the time, took this problem to the Lord. After praying, Harold looked out the window only to see someone barbequing a chicken on a rotisserie. Harold knew that God had revealed the solution to him!

NASA designed Apollo to slowly turn the entire spacecraft regularly to even out the impact of the temperatures. This technique was named the “barbeque roll.”

Proverbs 16:3 teaches, “Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established.”

If you’re developing plans for the future for your work, it’s wise not to forget to commit your plans to the Lord.
