A Washington Times article about millennials and their work references a Gallup study on work engagement and their findings on millennials. This study revealed that 44 percent of millennials who meet with their manager on a regular basis reported being engaged in their work. For those who do not meet regularly with their manager, there is only a 20 percent engagement rate.
In addition, to looking for meaning and purpose in the work they do, this next generation also yearns for communication and direct interaction with their superiors.
Psalm 78:72 says about the great leader King David, “So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them with his skillful hands.”
“Skillful hands” in today’s world means better communication and more interaction with our future leaders.
