Turning Disappointment into Opportunity
July 1, 2011

When Kathy and I entered the fair grounds for a free concert, I saw a packed house of people in their lawn chairs, and two sets of crowded aluminum bleachers. Since we had forgotten chairs, I assumed we were destined for standing.
Kathy, however, saw an opportunity. She realized the bleachers were backwards and inefficiently used. Kathy convinced everyone to leave their seat and to help her turn the bleachers around to face the stage. This resulted in more room, and more comfort for many additional people, including Kathy and I!
Ephesians 5:15-16 teaches, “Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity…”
What may seem as a disappointment in your workplace can become an opportunity for many.
