Values Matter

Mark was trying to grow his trucking business when he met a successful retired business owner. Mark was excited when this man offered to come in and help him grow his business.

Months later, Mark called me for counsel. The man who had offered to help didn’t embrace Mark’s values. He learned Mark’s business, only to later take many of Mark’s drivers and customers to start his own trucking company, leaving Mark with a huge debt load!

2 Corinthians 6:14 teaches, “Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?”

The business world is often quick to embrace almost anyone with expertise or money. God’s unconventional business model, however, teaches us to prefer those who hold our values.
