Gary, as a manager, had a desire to host a bible study for those of his staff interested. His human resource department, however, was anxious about Gary taking the lead.
They were concerned that some employees might feel coerced to come, because the study was being led by their boss. They also feared someone might claim discrimination if they didn’t attend and were passed over for a promotion.
Gary knew Human Resources had valid concerns. Rather than drop his idea, Gary encouraged one of his staff to take the lead. The study has blessed many.
Matthew 10:16 teaches, “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”
If God gives you a challenge, sometimes it requires being shrewd like Gary.
