Exercising Your Influence
By Rick Boxx
January 26, 2011

My friend Glenn had hit rock bottom. He had pursued his work more than his wife, resulting in a divorce and a lonely evening in an empty house.

That's when Glenn received a pivotal call from his long lost friend, Dave. Because of their history, Dave had the influence to deliver a direct message.

Dave told Glenn, "You need to get back to church and get your life right with God." This wisdom eventually resulted in Glenn remarrying his wife.

Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline."

Many of us have influence over certain people. There are moments when you need to use that influence. Is there anyone you need to check in with today?
