Hands-On Faith - Week of March 1

Explore how God created our world and invites us to care for it, as you discover the wonders of creation through hands-on activities with your family. This week's focus on "See God in Creation" offers practical ways to appreciate and respect the natural world, while learning valuable lessons about stewardship and gratitude.

Hands-on Faith for Families – week of March 1, 2021

Theme: See God in Creation

God Created Our World

Scripture: So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. (Genesis 1:7)

Play: Describe a number of living things that God has created, and ask your child to tell you whether they belong in the sky, water or land.

Talk: The sky, water and land are full of living things, but this was not always so. Before the earth was ready to support life, God had a lot of preparation to do. This included separating the sky, water and land and placing them in exactly in the right spots (Genesis 1:6-10). God wants us to enjoy and respect the beautiful world He has created. What are some ways that we can care for the earth?

Pray: Thank God for creating the sky, water and land.
