It’s Not Just a Fling - Ed Young Television Devotional - 3/15

Ed Young Television Devotional

It’s not just a fling

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. Colossians 1:15-16

Summer is here! Everywhere, people are thinking about unwinding, getting away from the routine, and maybe even taking a vacation or two. It’s an amazing time of year for swimming, suntans, and summer flings. But this summer is also an amazing time to connect with the God who loves you!

Yes, God has a desire for a relationship with you. It’s not a summer fling. It’s about a lasting, eternal relationship that can change everything. Are you experiencing the most out of that relationship? Remember, the one for whom “all things have been created” is crazy about you!

Thank God for who He is and for the love He has for you. Thank Him for the relationship you have with Him. Pray that He uses that relationship to help others experience it as well.

Write this line down on a card to help you remember the power of God’s desire for you: God had a desire for you long before you could ever have a desire for Him!
