Making the most

“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.” >Colossians 4:5

Everyone has an opportunity to influence others. Every day, we have chances to make a difference in someone else’s life. As believers in Jesus, our call is to make a difference for those people and to point them to a relationship with Christ. But sometimes, we don’t see those opportunities because we get caught up in things that distract us.

As you go through your day, look for ways to move past the distractions. Focus on what God has called you to do as a believer. Don’t just wander through your day. Instead, be intentional on making the most of the opportunities you have. Be a difference maker; and discover the purpose and potential of all God has placed before you!

Praise God for the fact that He has equipped and called you to make a difference in someone’s life. Ask Him to help you see the chances in life to reach someone far from Him. And ask for the courage and the words to make a difference in their lives.

Think of your daily routine. Where do you go? Who do you see? What do you do each day that could be a chance to share your faith with someone who is far from God? Don’t just think of it as a routine. Think of it as a way to “make the most of every opportunity”!
