Am I a Hypocrite?
“Woe to you , teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!” >Matthew 23:25
We’ve all been there before, caught between the intention of our words and the reality of our actions. We’ve become what we say we despise – a hypocrite. But when it comes to hypocrisy, there’s something we may have never considered. In front of other people, we can pretend to be one thing when in reality we are another. But we cannot do that before God.
God sees everything – every action, every word, and every thought we have. No matter how many masks we try to wear in front of others, no mask can hide us from God. And He gives us a strong warning not to say one thing while doing another. The great news is that, even though He calls us out, He still loves us!
Because of God’s love, we have the power to remove the mask of hypocrisy in every area of our lives. Remember to be honest and authentic in every situation. And discover the freedom that comes from being the person God has truly created you to be!
Thank God for loving you even in the face of your hypocrisy. Thank Him for the fact that there is nothing that He does not see. And pray for the strength to take off the mask of hypocrisy in your life today.
Seek to make your actions match your words, so that you can be an example for others.
