Comfort a child in foster care with a suitcase, teddy bear, and a Bible

Daily in Your Presence - June 10

Day 162

JEHOVAH-NISSI --
THE LORD IS MY BANNER

Moses built an altar and called it
The Lord is my Banner.
Exodus 17:15

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, the battles you fight in your heart are not new. All of My children wage war at different times. But remember I am your banner. When you hold up My name, every enemy will flee. My banner over you will bring peace, vic-tory, hope, and restored joy. Build an "altar" to Me in your heart — spiritual stones of remembrance that remind you of My faithfulness each time you experience a victory. My banner over you will always be love.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
You are the name I lift up in times of temptation, Lord. You are my Jehovah-nissi, my Banner, waving Your sovereign authority clearly in view of all my enemies. When You are present, victory always follows.

SIMPLE TRUTH

Hope comes not by looking at our own circumstances, but by reviewing God's track record of faithfulness.
