Who Do YOU Say God Is? – Beloved Women – May 14, 2020
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: We may go to church each Sunday, hear a sermon preached, listen to the praise team sing and hear others share testimonies of God’s goodness. However, there is incredible power in being able to praise God for yourself. Who do you say God is? Giving thanks to God for ourselves is an act of worship and reminder of God’s continual faithfulness to us. In Psalm 107:31, the Psalmist knew the power of openly giving praise and thanks to God to celebrate who God is. Being able to articulate who God is for yourself will strengthen and sustain you during seasons of triumph and trials. God is my closest friend, healer, strength, and comforter. I have experienced God firsthand in all these capacities and many more. I lean on who God has been to me in the past when I need encouragement.
As you continue to grow and experience God in new ways, I invite you to verbally praise God for yourself. Your personal praise of who God is will strengthen you and encourage the hearts of others.
PRAY: Dear God, thank You for your faithfulness and who You are to me. I praise You for the ways that you continue to strengthen and keep me each day. Please provide me with the boldness and desire to praise You for myself. Please forgive me for times when I have compared the praise of someone else. Thank you for your unconditional love. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
REFLECT: Name 3-4 words that describe who God is to you. Celebrate!
