CONTEND

Read: Jude

Key Verse: “Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.” - Jude 1:3

To contend for the faith is to battle courageously. Know what you believe and why you believe it. God has given the once and for all revelation and doctrine through the Bible (no one should ever add or try to take away from God’s Word). Take some time to study, prepare, and talk through your answers to these common questions:

  1. Is the Bible reliable?
  2. Is the Bible God’s Word?
  3. What is the gospel?
  4. What is the evidence for the resurrection?
  5. How do you know there is a God?
  6. How do you know God formed creation?
  7. Is Jesus fully God?

These questions are very common for people criticizing the Christian faith. Know enough to be bale to take a stand for truth. And lead them to Jesus through the evidence God has given.
