Read: Psalm 51

Key Verse: “Surely You desire truth in the inner parts; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.” - Psalm 51:6

You have outer parts of your life that are visible and audible to many people. Your inner parts, however, are only known by you and God. Most people can’t discern what you are thinking about, what your motives are, how deeply you are hurting, and what you do when no one is in the room with you. Many people can clean up the outside of their lives, but a pure heart is rare.

How can your inner parts be pleasing to God? 1) Receive God’s Word deeply in your heart; Scripture has the power to transform you. 2) Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. 3) Don’t hide anything from God in your prayer times with Him.

David made some terrible decisions in his life, but he experienced the mercy and cleansing power of God in his inmost being. God is able to do the same thing in your life too.
