SENSELESS

Read: Psalm 94

Key Verse: “Take heed, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?” - Psalm 94:8

The psalmist has watched and listened to people pour out arrogant words. He is tired of listening to boasting. People are cruel to the widows and the fatherless. There is oppression as God’s people are crushed. The foreigner is treated poorly and the needy are persecuted. When will it end? Is there any injustice today that grabs your attention and stirs your soul?

The psalmist begins with the clear statement that God who made our ears does hear, He who formed our eyes does see, the One who has all knowledge is teaching, and the Lord Almighty does discipline. These truths lead the author to bring this warning. It is strong because some people will not change until the message is very direct. Choose wisdom today, not foolishness.
