Unending Love

by Berni Dymet

Lam. 3:22-24  The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end;  they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Sometimes life – the weight of it all, the pressures on every side, the stress – it all seems too much.   Have you ever gone to bed wondering exactly how you’re going to face the next day?  How you’re going to make it through.

There’s a book in the Old Testament called the Book of Lamentations.  It’s author is looking around at the devastation caused when the Babylonians came and destroyed Jerusalem and carried of it’s inhabitants – God’s allegedly chosen people – into captivity and slavery.

The dust, the ashes, the ruin – looks a bit like that sometimes when we survey our own lives, doesn’t it.

And just when the night was at it’s darkest – a gleam appeared and the sun rose to a new dawn.  My friend – the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.  His mercies never come to an end they’re new every morning, new every morning.  Great is His faithfulness.

Whatever you’re going through – remember, His mercies never come to an end.
