Flying Blind - A Different Perspective - August 31

Flying Blind

by Berni Dymet

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Sometimes it can feel a bit like we're flying blind. You know - you‘re involved in something and... What do I have to do next? Do I sit and wait? Do I go and do something? What? How? You try this, it doesn't work. You try that - it goes nowhere.

All the time in your heart, you know deep inside somewhere that this is what God's calling you to, but you just don't know the next step to take.

I've been in that place often. Because when God calls us to do something - maybe it's a relationship, maybe it's a job - whatever it is - He rarely, if ever, gives us the whole picture up front. If He did, we wouldn't need faith. But Jesus said - no, no, He promised us this:

That the Holy Spirit would guide us, and declare to us the things that are to come are true. And you know it's true. When we don't know which way to turn, all we have to do is pause and listen….He will speak.
