⁶ As valleys they have been stretched out, As gardens by a river; As aloes Jehovah hath planted, As cedars by waters;

⁶ Like palm groves[1] that stretch afar, like gardens beside a river, like aloes that the Lord has planted, like cedar trees beside the waters.

⁶ They spread before me like palm groves, like gardens by the riverside. They are like tall trees planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters.
