⁵ You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.

⁵ Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.

⁵ Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
