²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

²⁵ Whom God hath set forth [1] to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

²⁵ whom God set forth to be an atoning sacrifice [2], through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance;
