¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet,[1]until he to whom it belongs[2] shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

¹⁰ The rod of authority will not be taken from Judah, and he will not be without a law-giver, till he comes who has the right to it, and the peoples will put themselves under his rule.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not leave Judah; he'll keep a firm grip on the command staff Until the ultimate ruler comes and the nations obey him.
