²⁴ And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, [1] and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

²⁴ You've come to Jesus, who presents us with a new covenant, a fresh charter from God. He is the Mediator of this covenant. The murder of Jesus, unlike Abel's - a homicide that cried out for vengeance - became a proclamation of grace.

²⁴ And to Jesus by whom the new agreement has been made between God and man, and to the sign of the blood which says better things than Abel's blood.
