What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of text generated by a Web server, such as Christianity.com, and stored on a user’s computer for future access. Christianity.com uses cookies to store your Bible Search Preferences so that we’ll “remember them” each time you visit. Almost every modern browser supports cookies; however, some people choose to disable them for various reasons. You must have cookies enabled in order for Christianity.com to save your preferences.

How can I enable cookies?

Please follow the proper instructions for the browser you are using.

Internet Explorer 6.x

• From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
• Click on the Privacy tab.
• Click the Default button or change your settings to Medium.
• Click OK.

Internet Explorer 5.x

• From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
• Click on the Security tab.
• Click Custom Level button.
• Scroll down to the Cookies section.
• Set Allow cookies that are stored on your computer to Enable.
• Set Allow per-session cookies to Enable.
• Click OK.

Mozilla Firefox

• From the Tools menu, select Options.
• Click on Privacy.
• Click on Cookies so that the section expands.
• Check the box labelled Allow sites to set cookies.
• Click OK.

Netscape 7.x

• From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
• Click on the triangle to the left of Privacy & Security so that it points down.
• Click on Cookies.
• Click on Enable cookies for the originating web site only.
• Click OK.

Netscape 6.x

• From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
• Click on the triangle to the left of Advanced so that it points down.
• Click on Cookies from the menu that appears.
• Select the Enable all cookies radio button.
• Click OK.
