“Giddel” means very great

  1. Children of Giddel were among the Nethinim who returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel. (Ezra 2:47; Nehemiah 7:49)
  2. Bene-Giddel were also among the "servants of Solomon" who returned to Judea in the name caravan. (Ezra 2:56; Nehemiah 7:58) (B.C. 536.)
