What to Remember When You’re Waiting for a Change | Your Nightly Prayer

Waiting for change can be exhausting. Whether you're hoping for healing, direction, breakthrough, or clarity, delays often feel like silence. But the Bible reminds us that God never wastes the wait—He’s growing something in you even before you see the outcome. This devotional prayer is for anyone feeling stuck between the “now” and “not yet.” May it renew your perspective and anchor you in God’s faithfulness. God, I confess—I’m weary in the waiting. I long for change, answers, and direction. But You are teaching me to wait with trust, not frustration. Your Word in Lamentations 3:25–26 reminds me that You are good to those who seek You—and that it is good to wait quietly for Your hand to move. Help me rest in Your timing. Teach me to listen, not just long. Grow my faith, even when I can’t see the finish line. Remind me that while I wait for change, You are changing me. Let this season deepen my roots, refine my trust, and prepare me for the blessing You are shaping. I believe You’re at work, even now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
