The creator and director of The Chosen is giving fans a sneak peek at the Season 6 crucifixion scene, revealing that it won't be as violent as the Mel Gibson blockbuster The Passion of The Christ -- but that it won't be family-friendly, either. Dallas Jenkins revealed those insights about Season 6 during an interview with Crosswalk Headlines at the 2025 K-Love Fan Awards in Nashville, where The Chosen Season 5 won film of the year for its successful theatrical release.
Although Season 5 begins streaming on Prime Video June 15, fans already are anticipating Season 6, which will depict the final hours and days of Jesus' life prior to His death. (Season 7 will portray the resurrection.)
