In Salvation, Do Humans Choose God or Does God Choose Us?

An evangelical is someone who believes that the Bible is the Word of God, and it's true when it says that Jesus died for my sins on the cross and rose from the dead. When I believe that and my faith is in what Jesus did rather than what I do, then God will call me His own.
