Serving with Prayer

Rick was a math teacher in a poor urban school in Birmingham, Alabama. One night he was praying for his students, when he believed God forewarned him that a prayer ministry was about to begin inside his classroom.

The next day while teaching math, one student raised her hand and announced, “Things used to go better around here when people prayed. Would you mind if we prayed?”

Rick eventually agreed. The Principal bought in and weeks later student initiated prayer had swept into six different math classes. The entire school began experiencing hope and peace.

Psalms 17:6  reminds us, “I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.”

A humble leader realizes prayer is the best way to serve others.
