Proverbs 31:25-30

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also, and he praises her, saying: “Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all.” Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

A godly woman brings joy to those in her life!

Our culture puts huge pressure on women today to be charming and physically beautiful. It tells them that these things determine their worth in life. What a load of lies! The women you love to be around, who bring joy to the people in their lives, are those who have developed great inner beauty, who love the Lord, who focus on others rather than themselves, who produce joy and laughter.

God is reminding us today to encourage true inner beauty in the women we know, whether they are outwardly beautiful or not. Help to change their view of what really matters about them. Praise them for their loving attitude and joyful disposition.

“Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”
