Time with God - November 15

Thursday 15th November

Read John 3:1-17

“Jesus answered him, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.’  Nicodemus said to him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?’  Jesus answered, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit’”

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (vv. 3-6,16)

You’ve been born physically, but have you been born spiritually yet?

God created mankind to be in a healthy spiritual relationship with him. At first, it was the way it was meant to be—and life was beautiful. But then men and women decided to live life their way.

Their selfish disobedience broke their relationship with God and they became spiritually dead to God. We’ve been born in that same condition: physically alive, but spiritually dead.

Jesus died on the cross in your place, to pay the penalty for your sins so that you could be restored to God and made spiritually alive. God’s inviting you: put your trust in Jesus Christ today.
