John 11:21-26

“Martha said to Jesus, ‘Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.’ Jesus said to her, ‘Your brother will rise again.’ Martha said to him, ‘I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.’ Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?’”

Jesus’ life in us is eternal life!

"Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” In fact, Jesus says, the person who “believes in me shall never die!” When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, God changes you on the inside. You become spiritually connected (the biblical word is “united”) with Jesus Christ in a way that his eternal life flows to you.

As John wrote later, “And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12).

God’s reminding you today that his eternal life both flows through you in your life today and will continue to give you life after your body dies.
