John 8:28-29

I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.

God will guide you if He knows you will do what He leads you to do!

There is a really big lesson you need to learn in life. You need to learn to say “Yes” to God before you even know what He wants you to do. It seems risky. What if God calls you to do something you don’t want to do?

But in reality, it’s only risky if you don’t trust God, right? If you trust Him, then there is nothing to worry about. Jesus trusted His Father. Living in His humanity, Jesus did not call on His omniscience. He needed His Father’s guidance. Did you see what He says in this verse? “I do nothing on my own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me.”

He trusted the Father and had already made the commitment to obey Him. That’s why the Father trusted Him and revealed His will to Him.

When you can say with Jesus, “I always do the things which are pleasing to Him,” then God will show you what He wants you to do.
