Time with God - Dec. 3, 2012

Read Psalms 119:1-8

How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their heart. (vv. 1-2)

Life is best for those who live it God’s way!

A spiritual perspective on life is so different from the world’s perspective. The world looks at a person who bases his life on the Word of God—who lives by God’s principles and does what is right—and thinks, “How boring! What a waste! He should be enjoying life!”

But if you have ever walked God’s way in life, you know that those days lived in close fellowship with God, sensing His pleasure over your life, were the best part of your life.

People who base their lives around themselves, who live for wealth and their own advantage, end up with huge amounts of stress in their lives. They are constantly anxious about so many things. But the person who builds his life around God’s Word experiences peace, even when crises come, because he knows that God takes responsibility for the life of the person who honors Him.

Today God is challenging you to change your perspective on godliness. Godliness is not only the right way to live, it is the BEST way to live! God wants the best for you. How blessed are those who walk in the law of the Lord!
